Made Like Homemade
Southerners have always known that our simple, made-like-homemade recipe of oil, vinegar and only the egg yolks is the secret to a rich, creamy mayonnaise – and now, the word is out. Taste testers said it was a “great balance of taste and texture” and called it a “solid, straight-up mayo” that’s “a close second to homemade.” It turns out that starting with egg yolks, and adding just a few, simple ingredients, is the secret to an extra rich and creamy mayonnaise.
A History of Delicious
Born in New Orleans in 1927, the legendary rich ‘n creamy taste of Blue Plate Mayonnaise has been a Southern family tradition for generations. Our first label was inspired by a plate design that symbolizes home, family and hospitality – and the rest is history.
