Spritzy Green Tea, Elderflower and Grapefruit Mocktail

Soothing green tea blended with floral sweetness and a fizzy citrus kick makes a refreshing, sophisticated sip. Allow time to prepare the sugared thyme garnish ahead. To make it a cocktail, just add 3 ounces of floral gin and, if desired, replace the elderflower syrup with elderflower liqueur.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Luzianne® Green Tea, brewed and chilled
- 1 ounce elderflower syrup
- 3 ounces grapefruit soda (we used Fever Tree brand)
- 1 sprig sugared thyme, for garnish, recipe follows
- 1 grapefruit wedge, freeze-dried or fresh, for garnish
Directions
- In a cocktail shaker, combine chilled tea, elderflower syrup and ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds or until chilled.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice and top off with grapefruit soda.
- Garnish with sugared thyme and a wedge of grapefruit.
Sugared Thyme
- 3 long sprigs fresh thyme
- ¼ cup superfine sugar
- Dip thyme in water and sprinkle all over with superfine sugar.
- Transfer to a parchment or wax paper lined plate or baking sheet and allow sugar to dry completely, about 1 hour.
