Lavender Sugar Cubes

Yield:

About 64 (1 cm square) cubes

Make sweetening tea extra special by infusing sugar with flavors and forming it into cubes. For a tea party presentation, serve them in a dish along with other sweetening options.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh, food-grade (edible) lavender buds
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • silicone sugar cube molds (for small cubes)

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Using a spoon, pack the sugar mixture into silicone sugar cube molds (mixture should be enough to make about 64 cubes, 1 cm square in size).
  3. Let stand at room temperature or in a cool, dry place for at least 8 hours before unmolding.
