Customize our 1-2-3-4 Layer Cake recipe with different colors, decorations and frostings for any occasion. To make it into a sheet cake, use a rectangular 9×13 sheet pan instead of round layer pans. This feast-day sheet cake is decorated with the colors of the Italian flag.
Ingredients
- 1 freshly baked 1-2-3-4 cake, baked in a 9×13-inch sheet pan
- 2 batches Mousseline Buttercream Frosting
- Red and green food coloring
Directions
- Frost cake with Mousseline Buttercream; set aside enough frosting to use for decorating.
- Add food colorings to frosting and pipe decorations onto cake as desired.
